Sony is famous for its conventional pattern of launching its assets in the first half of the year. It has recently introduced the new Sony Xperia XZ2 and XZ2 Compact with new processors and designs. These products by Sony are basically similar except for their size. The XZ2 is larger than XZ2 Compact, and both have been designed with the micro-arc surface. Although the design no longer uses the Omni-balance, use of fully balanced design has accomplished sophisticated and stunning looks.
The pink model was quite famous among women, but the glass material used in XZ2 was a little inconvenient to use. The glass base caused sticky fingerprint all over, which was taken care of by designing the XZ2 compact with a metal body. It is worth mentioning that the sleek key on the side of the machine has led to the shifting of the fingerprint reader to the middle back of the body. It may also be necessary to fine-tune the usage habits. In addition, the XZ2 body is not very thick, but the XZ2 Compact may not only have to accommodate a thin body but also have a curved back design, so the body is a bit thicker.

Both the models have a high definition resolution (HDR). The effect is quite astounding as the XZ2 and XZ2 Compact have been enhanced in this generation. The HLG format is used for adding HDR. Compared to HDR-free models, even the darker bits can now be captured by these phones. With more detailed and vivid colors, the effect is very remarkable.
Speaking of this generation of XZ2, the camera has added support for HDR technology and can capture more details in a wider range of light settings. It has an ISO 12800 camera phone that doubles the light before it reaches the imaging sensor. Provisions of ISO 12800 photographs are hard to see with the naked eye.
In addition to HDR, the XZ2 has been enhanced for general photos, its sensitivity is up to ISO 12800 (photo)/ISO 4000 (video). Such high ISO noise is less likely to take pictures on the phone. It is known that Sony has adopted the new dual-lens technology that will be used in the later models. By then, even the video can use ISO 12800, which is indeed great news for the night camera users. Near objects are more difficult to focus. Last year, Sony added 960 fps super-slow-motion movie shooting function to XZ Premium. It is still inherited from the current generation of XZ2, with an improved resolution of 1080p full HD, enabling everyone to shoot higher-resolution ultra-slow-motion movies. However, if the subject is too close, it may be difficult to focus, and everyone should pay attention when using it.
In the final display, the Sony Xperia XZ2 and XZ2 Compact have 5.7-inch and 5-inch HDR screens respectively. They use an aspect ratio of 18:9, with a resolution of 1080 x 2160. It is also preloaded with tri-luminous display technology. As for specifications, the XZ2 and XZ2 Compact use the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor. The XZ2 preloads 6GB of RAM, while the XZ2 Compact has only 4GB of RAM. It is also worth noticing that XZ2 and XZ2 Compact, both support the speed difference function, but wireless charging is only supported by the XZ2. The XZ2 and XZ2 Compact both use the company’s new fluid design and design language. The most prominent performance is the protruding pin-cushioned glass backplane of both phones and the now centrally located main camera. The XZ2 Compact also benefits from the IP68 certification, so falling or using it in the bathtub is a worry-free thing. On the other hand, Sony finally decided to abandon the traditional headphone jack, allowing you to rely on the built-in adapter or Bluetooth to meet your in-ear audio needs.
There are not many mobile phones in the market with Qualcomm’s latest and best Snapdragon 845 chip, but XZ2 Compact has this technology. This handset is backed up with 4GB of RAM and pairing it with full HD resolution. Opening multiple applications, as well as 3D games, do not hamper the speed of the device and it delivers a fast response. There is also 64GB of built-in memory, which is very generous for Sony. But almost a quarter of the data is occupied by system files. At a minimum, you can choose the microSD extension up to 400GB. As for the battery, it has a capacity of 2870mAh battery, combined with the processor’s promise of increased power efficiency. Sony has been delivering one of the best handsets in terms of appearance and performance. It can be trusted again for XZ2 Compact.
